Wise Man
“They worshipped this baby Jesus and gave Him valuable gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.” God sent his Son to rescue us from sin, death, and the devil forever.
L u k e 2 : 6 - 7 Luke 2:6-7 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.”
Jesus was born to save us so we can go to heaven. He was born like a human so as to be truly human. He was aso be God and resisted temptation. Therefore we should worship and praise Him for what He has done, because He went through what we do and understands us. He experienced so many things that we do everyday. He did this so he can help us. He also died on the cross to save us. We should praise Him and worship Him and give back to Him by helping others and doing His will.
Dear God, please help us to praise you and to help others in what we say and do. Amen.

Wise Men
After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.
The wise men traveled on camels and followed this star which led them to Bethlehem. What was the longest distance you have ever walked? Ever driven? Ever Flew? The wise men in Jesus’ time traveled many, many miles to reach the place where Jesus was born. But they didn’t have trains, planes, or cars. They had camels that carried them. And when the camels were tired, they had to walk. But even so, they persevered because seeing Jesus would be the greatest gift of all time.
Being a Christian isn’t always easy. Jesus warned the disciples it would be hard. Jesus also promised to be with us no matter what. We can take encouragement from the Wisemen who overcame a lot to see and worship our Savior.
Dear Heavenly Father, please help me persevere in the hard times. Help me to love others and you, and be with me every day this Christmas season.
Amen.

The Wisemen
Matthew 2: 1-2 “After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi, from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
Far far away in a place called Bethlehem a Savior was born. The baby wrapped in swaddling cloth would save the whole world from sin, death, and the power of the devil.
Before and after the Savior was born there had been an unusual star in the sky over the miracle that had happened. It was a very bright star that had made the wise men very curious. Now these wise men, who had studied the stars, thought about this peculiar event and decided to follow it to Bethlehem. They knew that because of this sudden change in stars that this was an amazing event indeed.
Christ’s birth is amazing event that should still be proclaimed far and wide. We should always tell the good news of Jesus’s birth. The Wisemen set a great example of overcoming tough circumstances to worship our Savior.
Let us pray. Dear Jesus, Thank for saving us the eternal fire by being born, and suffering on the cross. Thank you for doing this so that we may reign with you, in all eternity, forever. Amen.

Star
“At the same time, God made a special star appear in the sky in a faraway land”
Has something ever happened to you that was just simply unexplainable? Like an anonymous gift in a time of need or a loved one suddenly got well after a disease? That happened about 2,000 years ago in Bethlehem. A special star created by God appeared. So what? It’s just one star. There’s where you’d be wrong. This star was the star that led the wise men to Jesus, the savior. They gave their gifts to him and went to spread the word that Jesus, the Messiah, had been born; the best miracle of all.
Sometime the unexplainable is God at work in our lives. Be open to his calling and purpose for your life!
Dear God, thank you for sending that special star that showed the wise men the way to your son Jesus. Please help me to never lose sight of you and help me point others to you. Amen.

Trumpet - After they had seen the baby, and had worshiped him, they told others about this wonderful thing that had happened
After the shepherds had seen baby Jesus they went out to the rest of the world and told of the great news. They told everyone they could about Jesus and how the angels had told them to go and see him. They wanted everyone to know about the Savior that was just born. They knew he was special and it was what they had been waiting for. When the shepherds told others, those people were so excited that they told other people and so on. Eventually word spread that Jesus had been born.
Just like the shepherds, we should tell others about the great news of Jesus Christ. We have so many opportunities to do this during the day. Jesus gave us a command similar to this in Matthew 28: 19-20 (NIV) “19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
A trumpet is loud and everyone will be able to hear it. So we should proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ like a trumpet.
Dear Jesus,
Help us to proclaim the good news like a trumpet, loud and clear so everyone can hear. Please help us to tell everyone we can like the shepherds and disciples did. Thank you for saving us and being born on Christmas. Amen.

Shepherd with Lantern
When the angels were gone, the shepherds decided to come to Bethlehem to see this new baby, the Savior of the world.
Shepherds, they watch over sheep and guide them. That was their job, their profession, their purpose. They had to make sure that the sheep were healthy, fed, and rested. One late evening the shepherds in the field were taking turns doing their job. Suddenly, an angel came to them shining beautifully in the night sky. The shepherds awoke and they were terrified! The angel of God knew they were frightened so he assured them that he came to share a message of great joy with them. The angel explained that they were to go to Bethlehem to see the Savior born to the world. “You’ll find Him in a manger, in swaddling clothes.” The shepherds were not prepared for this, but they trusted the angel and God, so they did what they were told. They found the Savior, king of all.
Have you ever had a job to do that you always knew what to expect? These shepherds surely didn’t expect to see a king that night. Their job was to watch sheep. The little baby in the manger was Jesus! His job was to save us from our sins many years ago. He makes sure were healthy, fed, and rested. He is the shepherd, and we are His sheep.
Dear Lord, thank you for giving us a second chance. Thank you for getting rid of our sins! Your children thank you for taking care of us, as a shepherd takes care of his sheep. AMEN.

“Then a large number of angels appeared, lighting the sky and singing, ’Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, and good will toward men.’”
All of creation praised God on that night when Christ, the Savior of the world, was born. He would grow up to save the world from sin, death, and the devil. The angels praised God for His power and glory in sending His Son to help us in our sin and darkness.
We too should praise God as the angels did that night. He has done so much for us and we should praise and thank Him for all He is, does, has done, and will do when we die and go to heaven to live with Him forever. We can do this through our words, actions and everyday lives. There are so many ways to praise God. Find some today!
Psalm 103(NIV):Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins, and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Dear God, thank you for sending your Son to save us. We praise you for all your power and wisdom in sending your Son. Amen.
